ESØTËRIX

ESØTËRIX is the experimental dimension of The ESØTËRIC Ones: a collaborative project between label founder Ebstar and Zimbabwean producer Cryogenic Guru, built for the music that doesn’t fit within the label’s already-broad genre parameters. Their three tracks on ECHOES OF LOVE I (2024) — “Tale of The Lost One (Instrumental Mix),” “STUCK IN MY BRAIN” (Amapiano, 115 BPM), and “Czesława Kwoka (Tribute)” — represent the compilation’s furthest creative reach. The last of those, a tribute to the Polish teenager whose Auschwitz identification photograph became one of the most recognised images of the Holocaust, positions ESØTËRIX at the outer edge of what this label is capable of: Amapiano rhythm structures carrying a weight that goes beyond the music itself.
